I just saw this article about the Canadian Women's Hockey Team.

So, do you think the Canadian Women's Hockey team stop "running up the score?"

The title of the article is Canada should tone it down: Ruggiero (http://sports.sympatico.msn.cbc.ca/Turin/TopStories/ContentPosting.aspx?feedname=CBC-SPORTS-V2&newsitemid=ruggiero_comment060213&showbyline=True)
The way the Canadian women's hockey team has been racking up goals at the Torino Olympics has some hockey players and fans shaking their heads. (http://sports.sympatico.msn.cbc.ca/Turin/TopStories/ContentPosting.aspx?feedname=CBC-SPORTS-V2&newsitemid=ruggiero_comment060213&showbyline=True)

no, not unless they want to lose their home ice advantage

LOL - damned if you do and damned if you don't.

Good going team!

Is this the only "problem" that everyone is concerned about? A team doing its best? Is this a matter of Canada being too good, or the rest not being good enough?

As long as it is "fair play" and by the rules ... go for it! They are obvioulsy setting a world standard in quality-of-play that others will have to strive for.

Damn...and I thought this thread was about the women's hockey team playing in bikinis.
My mind is such a mess.

Until they change the way they handle the home ice issues, they will have to keep playing this way. They aren't happy about it either, but that's the way the rules go.
If the other countries ever start nurturing the sport, they will have stronger opponents!!

No way, if you can score then score. Even if it was another country "runnning up the score" i would say go for it... if you can do it then why not

There is talk of removing it, due to the lack of competition.

The womens team is doing just great , score all you can, if it did come down to goal average , they may need the goals
