Does anybody have any feedback regarding this MP3 player?

Sanyo 1GB MP3 Player (DMC1100)

It seems like a good unit for the price. 1GB + an additional 512 MB in an SD card if you have one. Has FM and a voice recorder too. Just wondering if anybody has any experience with one of these. I am looking for a hardware/non-CD/non-Hard Disk MP3 player to supplement my cd based iRiver iMP-350. I want small and light and skip free with minimum 1GB memory.

thanx in advance for any feedback,

:)

It's at BestBuy for $149.

In my opinion, and I know you probably hear alot, is to just go with an Ipod Nano..it's $20 bucks more for the 1gb nano, but you get the ability to view photos, gorgeous colour screen, and it's tiny. It's worth it.

The nanos seem to fragile, I have the RCA lyra 1 gig (http://www.futureshop.ca/catalog/proddetail.asp?sku_id=0665000FS10068487&catid=10205&logon=&langid=EN)
and its pretty nice, work perfect for what i wanted, somthing to listen to on the bus and somthing to quickly transfer my stuff from one comp to another. Without using ITunes.....

You need a case for your nano, and you don't need to use iTunes for your iPod. There are alternative programs out there.

Interesting. I will check out the nano. I know the extra 512 MB via the SD card isn't incredible, and it does require a 512 SD card which is not free, however, I still think that extra 512 via SD is worth something, and the cost is low.

Anybody have any feedback on the Sanyo DMC-1100?

Here it is:

When I was deciding which player to buy, I was torn between the Nano and the Mpio fl350, I went with the Mpio fl350(http://images.imp3.net/article/2005/10/05/090004.jpg), it's definitely a cutie weighing in at about 0.9 ounces. It's so amazingly tiny.
From what I gather, the Sanyo dmc 1100 seems to be good buy. Was trying to google up a review for you but can't find one but it seems like a fine mp3 player to me.

I see the Mpiofl350 is also priced similarly right now. I will check that one out too. Where did you pick that one up?

Also, there is an RCA lyra which talks about external SD memory, but its not clear that it is external or in addition to internal memory.

Sucks the sale on the Sanyo is over. Looks like I may wait again...

I bought the mpio fl350 from Future Shop. The latest model available is the fl400 which has the capability to play .ogg files and possibly some other minor features which I'm not sure of.

There are also mpio 400 and 500's too. Many models. Must research. I hate research shopping. I am still curious about the RCA units which accept SD memory.
