driving probation?

is it possible to be like on driving probation? because my friend told me he can't drive for like 2 months since he got into an accident from before.

this is possible. I have never heard of someone getting a probation for getting in to a accident.

For drinking and driving only.. but i could be wrong

You can have your license suspended for many reasons... including too many demerit points.
This is probably why he got a 2 month suspension

definitely, it is usually for an accumulation of points. When you get so many the MTO steps in and you have to give them a valid reason why you should be able to keep your license. If you get any more points while on "probation" you will loose your license. This probation is achieved by many for to many speeding tickets
