I was just wondering if between the regular Kingston 1GB Flash USB drive and the Sandisk Mini 1GB Flash USB drive which is better? The reason is that FS has them both at the same price after MIR. Last week it was the Sandisk one which I brought but now this week the Kingston is on sale for the same price.

Sandisk = over rated
People are so ignorant that they call SD cards "Sandisk".
"Can I get a Sandisk?" I would love to glove slap these people personally.
Stay with Lexar or Kingston.

although I voted for SanDisk, there really is no difference.
I think people just associate SanDisk as being a good name brand.
I have a Sandisk Cruzer mini 256 and an OCZ 1 GB Rally drive DDR and the OCZ is waaay faster. If speed is important, I would recommend that solutin $94.99 at pccanada.com.
Also check out the new U3 class drivces which can host mini versions of many applications.

I currently have a Kingston DataTraveller 256MB, it is the old silver casing unlike the new one which is white and smaller. I sort of like the old look compared to the new one. I am thinking of a U3 drive but the software probably don't come cheap and the two I talked about is $61 after taxes which is a good price.
There are also portable apps available, http://portableapps.com/about/what_is_a_portable_app which is maybe sort of like U3.

I am a proud owner of the Verbatim 1GB U3 Smartdrive, and I think it's great!

Have a 512 SanDisk Cruzer Titanium and it has never let me down.
512, fast enough for me, and effectively indestructable...wont break if you sit on it.

It is odd that as time past, companies tend to include less things with their drives. I have a old Verbatim 32MB one that included a lanyard/necklace, partition software, and a USB cable, the old silver Kingston DataTravler included a lanyard but no software. The new Kingston DataTraveler is smaller than the Sandisk Mini but doesn't include a lanyard or any software. But the Kingston has a 5yr warrenty and the Sandisk only 2yr. Will the usb drive likely to fail within 2yr or 5yr.
