Here is something I found out today. This change prevents the latest FF from doing a pre-cache, which means it will stop FF from in the background download links on the page, assuming you might click on them so they load up fast because the page has already been downloaded and is sitting on your hard drive. PLUS this will fix some of the memory leak issues.
on the url bar enter in ABOUT:CONFIG
in the filter field type in MAX
You should be able to see a item of:
browser.sessionhistory.max_total_viewers
Double click and change that number to 0 (zero)
