If i were to purchase a video card with a vga out put and a dvi output and get an adapter to convert the dvi to vga, will i be able to have two different views.
What i mean is, can I see one thing on the vga output while seeing something different on the dvi output?

The card I am looking at is the 9200SE

Thank you.

With two monitors you can have an extended desktop. One window can span both monitors. You can also open different windows (pages) in each monitor as well as drag and drop windows from one monitor to the other.
Set up as non extended, each monitor will show the same window.

After installing the video card and drivers/software, and hooking up your two monitors, go to your Display Properties. Right Click on the desktop and select PROPERTIES. You will see the setup for dual monitors there.

Actually I am not using two monitors. One will be a monitor and one will be a projector. Will this still work?

For the purposes here, you can think of your projector as a monitor.
