I picked this up off a friend and was wondering if it is a half decent CPU I am a Intel person and never put a AMD system togeather so I was wondering what mobo i could use for this cpu

You'll need a Socket A (462 pin) mobo. They are starting to get scarce.

I know I need a socket A motherboard but what board would be a good choice for this Cpu is what I am wanting to know thanks

i've got a A7N8X-DX mobo (asus) that I would sell you. used. but it did great things for me. i was running a amd 2800+ barton on it no issues what soever.

Yes, it is a decent processor - about the speed of a P4 2.2 - 2.6Ghz depending on what you're doing.
