When turning on bit torrent today I found myself getting an error telling me it couldn't listen on port 1720...

Anyone else have this problem ?

Do you mean the Rogers box, modem?

you need the latest version of the 'software'... Rogers is throttling that port unless you use encryption.

Rogers can't throttle the port, at least not yet anyway, I have heard they are trying different solutions, its the port they use for their Voip service, so they can't throttle it or they risk affecting the QOS they promise their Voip customers.

And I am using Azureus without encryption and it works fine on Rogers.
