You can add Avast (www.avast.com) to the list. Since hearing rumours about AVG discontinuing its' free edition I've been using AVast and find it equally as good .

For the 100th time, AVG is only discontinuing SUPPORT of 7.1, or whatever.

7.5 still has a free edition. :d

I would not use the Norton online

I will say that Avast is better then AVG in my opinion..

I am currently using Nod32 and it is great, had norton (one month free) before but it slowed down my computer so much.

I'm giving it a try...but I guess I might also run them individual also...I don't really have allot to do today, lol...might take out a few drinks to get the relax and scan process going:hst:

I would seriously suggest against running more than one scanner at a time. Not good for the HD in my opinion. Could overheat and cause other issues down the road. Stick with one at a time.

Anyone else having issues with that trendmicro virus scanning site? I'm using there 6.6 version but after letting the file download onto my computer and letting the site do its thing it fully doesnt connect to the site to even let me do any scanning. It just sits at one page and the status bar moves a bit and then stays there.

I even let it sit there for 2 hours and nothing changed. Just sits at a page and doesnt really do nothing but stay at the same page.

I keep getting emails from people I know telling me about the latest viruses and hacks and stuff. I know that they are sending them in good faith but most of the time the email message itself is the scam. Telling me to doing something to compromise my security in the guise of a repair. Is there an online list that report on these types of fraud attacks?

How safe is MV Regclean? Would it speed up my computer? I let it analyze my desktop and it found:
Keys 451675
Values 718839
Problems 3490
Selected 3490
I did not let it remove anything yet.
What does this mean?
Thanks

Thanks mander. I do use Malwarebytes, I just ran ver. 1.41. I still find my notebook slower than it used to be.

Anyone tried Advanced System Care, also known as ASC. I just accessed its online help and AVG said it was a known phishing site.
