View Full Version : converting mp3 to WMA

I have some MP3's I want to convert to play in my wife's car cd player it does not play MP3's..
So I have used Nero 7 to convert the MP3's to play in her car but they all skip..??
The MP3's play fine in wav on my computer but skip in her car and my home cd player??
Any thoughts
Sorry I typed in bold but I hit some button by mistake..lol

Try burning a slower speed , I find the quality is much better.

ok thanks for the info, I believe I have already slowed the burn down, but maybe not quite enough...
I will slow it down even more and let you know the outcome..

Could also be your media. If all else fails try a different brand blank CD for burning. And not a CR rewritable.

Maybe I'm somewhat behind in todays Audio formats but shouldn't the Audio CD's be in wav format?

If so do they play well on your PC?

As mentioned media could be an issue too. Had 2 or 3 recently that didn't want to play well in the car.

Yes you are correct..
that's what I meant, I mean I thought that's what they were..
Actually I have tried several different media types and still skip, but I have not tried the slower burn process..will report back if it works when i do it..
