Just bought a new 17" LCD monitor and I am running a Compaq Presario with Windows XP. My question is "is there any way that I can also hook my old HP Computer that has Windows 95 to the new LCD and somehow switch them depending on which one I need at the time. I use the old HP computer to store and keep track of investments. My second question is "is there some software that you can use to take music from LP records and make cd discs of this music. Thanks for any help.
Yes, you need a "KVM" Switch (keyboard, video, mouse). Made by Linksys, among other names. Lets you hook up 2 machines to one monitor, keyboard & mouse. Hitting scroll lock key twice switches machines.

To switch back and forth you need a switch box. The switch box allows you to plug a cable into the back of your computer system (some of them also have the ability to share only one keyboard and mouse for multiple systems as well), and you would literally just switch between the computers.
Unfortuantely I can not remember the name of the software for the Music question... But YES, you can.. Pinnacle maybe???? umm. can't remember at this time...
There are both hardware solutions, SERVICE solutions and software solutions to this query..
Here's a link with a tuturial on how to do this.
