Ok so when i go browsing the dvd section in futureshop or wherever...seasons for most shows can range from 39 bucks to $60 or even $80 at the most...Then I look at the Star Trek seasons.....They are all like $120 or $140 for a season....wtf? Why is the trek stuff so expensive....I am a fan of star trek but i'm not going to pay that much for a season......and they wonder why we download these things....If anyone can explain to me why it gets priced so high compared to other shows that would be great.:gaa:

. . . BITTORRENT!!
Ah I diddn't say it!
wow thats rediculous. Im normally against downloading stuff you know you like because your not showing your support and cant be called a true fan but thats just a crazy price. Someones taking advantage of their fans.
Yeah i have wondered this as well. im not a big Trek fan but I have seen the prices at best buy and its always over 100 dollars. Crazyness.

For TOS, that would be like packaging DOS games on a CD.

For TOS, that would be like packaging DOS games on a CD.true. :d i don't know how much 60's technology can be enhanced for the 2 new dvd formats. i suppose its also possible that they might just dub it onto the 2 new formats and hope that no one notices that its dubbed and not enhanced. :(

They might be able to use computers to digitize the original prints.
I will wait and see on this one.

It's expensive because they know that the hardcores buy Star Trek plates by the room-full at ridiculous prices (http://search.ebay.com/star-trek-plate_W0QQfromZR8QQfsooZ2QQfsopZ3QQsbrsrtZl) :D
God, I wish I had kept all my Trek paraphernalia from when I was a kid!
