They make some other good programs.
MRU Blaster:

Spyware Guard 2.2:

I have used all three for a while, and no problems with any, or conflicts with other programs. They also have very little overhead.

I haven't tried MRU Blaster before. I just installed and cleaned. Just wondering, do you know if clearing out MRUs frees up disc space? Thanks for the info.

My guess is at best, with the stand alone program and no attachments, it would be so small, you would not notice it, as the lists should be very small regardless if you haven't cleaned before. According to the site:
These MRU lists contain information such as the names and/or locations of the last files you have accessed. They are located ALL OVER your registry, and for almost ANY file type. By looking at these MRU lists, someone could determine what files you opened/saved/looked at, what their file names were, and much more! (And, in many cases, the lists are displayed in drop-down menus automatically.)
With the two option plugins (Temporary Internet Files and cookies), you could free up extra space, with Temporary Internet Files being the only really noticable difference depending on when the files were last deleted. The MRU attachment for Temporary Internet File deletion is not a "secure" method of deleting as it will only do a 2 method pass. You can also delete Temporary Internet Manually (one for IE, another for Mozilla), or if you are concerned about security use a better shredder (East Tec Eraser or Window Washer), but MRU is a nice simple program to get rid of the Most Recently Used files, but again not a shredder.

I use spywareblaster as well as spysites http://camtech2000.net/Pages/SpySites_Program.html#SpySitesFree have never had a problem with either one, mind you spysites is NOT made by javacoolsoftware but it is a good problem as well, it controls spyware not covered by spywareblaster but does not update half as often
