Ok, My motherboard is an ASUS A7N266 - VM/LAN/AA

I just got my new flash drive, and everything is working great with that. The thing is when i plug my flash drive into my USB port, it registers as a USB 1 controller. Anyone know how to change this to 2.0 becuase I would think that this "newer" motherboard would have 2.0 support - right? I'm using Windows XP Pro and I have tried the latest motherboard drivers. I also looked in my bios (my dad told me to check there - cuase you have to enable them there) but i couldnt find anything?

I wanna transfer faster!!! Thanks guys.:nke:

According to that your motherboard doesn't support USB 2.0, only 1.1

Haven't looked at the link for your motherboard, but keep in mind you need atleast SP1 for usb 2.0 incase you didn't know.

Well on the bright side USB 2.0 cards aren't expensive anymore, I picked up one from Futureshop for $29.99 and it works perfectly.

well its ok i guess. They changed the start menu, and the Control panel. They also made Windows Explorer (My computer) a little different. Its probably the build I have (5048) but there isnt any network support ( so i dont use it alot cause I need that network) but pretty, and the whole system has been changed so apparently much more stable (based on UNIX system)
