Singer Buck Owens, the flashy rhinestone cowboy who shaped the sound of country music with hits like "Act Naturally" and brought the genre to TV on the long-running "Hee Haw," died Saturday. He was 76.

About the photo .. right behind Roy Clark is Linda Thompson ... longtime girlfriend of Elvis Presley. Is that Ernest Borgnine between Buck & Roy?

A lot of people will remember Buck Owens from Hee Haw but he was also one of the truly great guitar players of his generation.

Sad to say, his wife Bonnie passed away 30 days later, I feel so bad for their kids. Bonnie was a good friend of mine, but suffered with alzheimers, so at least the disease is gone also.

Sad......but at least the group that will be pickin and grinnin in heaven is getting larger by the day and it is something to look forward to.
