This movie looks to be good. I've been waiting for it for years when it was being talked about. I just hope it doesn't end up like trash... like all horror movies lately.

So far so good. and it's being directed from the guy who did Brotherhood of the wolf (which was a pretty good movie...) I just hope it's not rated PG... too many thriller movies that have potential to be good are ruined because they are dumbed down to a PG rating. If it were given an "R" rating, then you could pretty much bet that the graphic horror style you see in the game would be translated nicely onto the film instead of ending up on the editing room floor.

I've been working on this for several months now and ya from what I've seen the R rating is warranted. Can you believe that as of last week they were still waiting for CG shots from certain companies, I mean the movie comes out in a few weeks.

haha yea Mortal Kombat movies were good, and the first Res Evil was pretty good I thought.

The 2nd MK was pretty bad actually. Even when I Saw it when i was younger I still remember not liking it.
The first one was awsome though..

Just downloaded and watched a behind the scenes featurette (http://www.kotaku.com/gaming/konami/on-the-set-silent-hill-online-166031.php) on the film... Pretty intersting... and man did they ever cast some "busty" evil nurse creatures for the film... lol.

I saw it last night.
Overall i guess it was an ok movie, my boyfriend has played ALL the Silent Hill Games, whereas i havent played any. He LOVED it. he thought that they did a good job portraying the feel of the game, but this movie isnt really based on any of them. Its more of a prequil he said. I thought it was just alright myself, I mean it WAS a little scary, and the part with the **SPOILER** at the end was pretty cool. Just watch it.

Saw a good bit of it while surfing last night.

I fail to see the significance of the barbed wire, and the burnt photo montage was a poor substitute for actual plot development.

Oh, and gory. Yes, definitely gory.
