I recently went out and purchased a USB 2.0 PCI Card for my server/media database so I could upload stuff to my new iPod mini, but transfer rates are incredibly slow (supposedly 480mb/s eh?) the manual says it has 1.5mb/s, 5.0mb/s and 480mb/s, I'd say its running at 5 right now. Any ideas on how to boost it up to 480?

no look to the manufacture for updated drivers even if you put the one in from the USB CD

SP1 and the RTM version of Windows XP do not natively support USB 2.0 and require drivers, if you don't install them I believe it will install USB 1.1 drivers. SP2 has USB 2.0 drivers and will automatically install them though.

You can also install the drivers if you got them right even if you have SP2?

Yes if you have the drivers from the CD that came with the card or from the internet you can install them. If you have SP2 you could probably install them but you don't need to.
