TSP is great for that and for preping walls prior to painting, make sure you rinse well. Caution it can irritate your skin

Is all that you need is warm water and a wide sharp scrapper to get under it and take it off clean,I have never ever used a chemical cleaner that needs to be Nutuarlised,Steamer works great also but If you are repapering size will prepare it also.
I assume you want to remove the glue not the wallpaper as that has been done...I just did my kitchen and as Gollychuck said, warm water (I used a spray bottle) and a scraper...I found a plastic one worked best as it has a bit of give and doesn't gouge the wall. I remove as much as I could with the scraper and then used nylon scrub pads (cheap ones from Loblaws or dollar store) to wipe over the spot again and again until all the glue was gone. Do small areas at a time. I then rinsed the area with a wet sponge. You want to get ALL THE GLUE off before you paint.
One other caution: my walls are plaster, but if your walls are drywall you want to be careful not to gouge the paper face of the drywall and you do not want to get it too wet or you can damage the wall.
Not a hard job, just requires time and elbow grease to do a good job.

We have tried various methods and the wall paper remover, removes it best, in our experience.

If you can peel off the surface of the wallpaper without any trouble what's left behind - that yellowish fuzzy paper that holds the glue - comes off very easily once it's been moistened. After you remove it you need to wash the wall down thoroughly to remove any traces of dissolved glue, if you don't it'll show up when you're painting.

All of the above suggestions along with a lot of Elbow grease!

Easier on your hands than TSP and cheap...mix a fabric softener such as Downy and warm water 50/50, spray on paper and let sit for 15-20 minutes then scape off with a plastic scraper. then rinse off residue with water.

I believe a solution of ten parts seven up 1 part lime and 1 part smirnoff works the best.

what about using a blow drier ?
Not sure if it works the same.
But skateboarding grip tape glue, you use a blow drier to hit it up and it makes the glue liquid again
