Yes, I did this to myself guys! I turned on some feature that allows the mouse to highlight the box or folder as I move the mouse over it. This is quite a problem now.
I do not remember which program or control feature I checked off ?
Can you advise so I can disable this feature?
Thanks for all your help:hys:

I did this to myself - I know - but I don't remember how or what program
settings to change back ?
My mouse highlights the folder when passing over each which is hard to maintain the one folder I am working on
Can you advise where I can remove the mouse movement highlight feature?
Thanks

The behavior is commonly called "X-Mouse". I remember liking that feature on the old SUN SparcStations, but I can't stand it today. ;)
You most probably have TweakUI installed on your machine with that feature turned on. Look for TweakUI in your Control Panel.
My Computer -> Tools Menu -> Folder Options -> General Tab -> *Under Click Options Select "Double Click to open an item"* -> Hit Okay and then exit

THANKS for the hlep !
All I needed was the word "Tweak" and after doing a search
I found WIN98 TWEAK VERSION 1.2
The command line for the function is called
"Active Window Tracking"
And the program can be found in this folder.
"C:\Program Files\Win98Tweak2\Win98Tweak2.exe"
Thanks for your help

Active Window Tracking is the same thing as X-Mouse. I assumed you were using TweakUI, but you were using some other utility instead to do this. Glad it helped. :)
