Pat Quinn fired!!

Well I just heard the news Pat Quinn has taken the fall for the bad play of the Leafs.

I also agree..but who ever they do get..peddle and tanebunn(sp)need to stay out of the hockey decisions....get off their power trip and let the people they hire do their jobs.

I'm paraphrasing but he was like, "I went in there and I fired his ass, *****es!"
I don't know about you but 'damn yo' came to mind...this is the guy who during the regular season said stuff like "We are on track", "We have a great team, we are moving forward" and standard BS like that. Granted it's PR talk but talk about dropping a nuclear bomb out of nowhere.

looks like somebody threw ferguson a few extra bucks to make the decision...this is the perfect time to get rid of all the useless players on the team....ie. Antropov, Domi, Tucker(over-rated), Lindros, Belfour and some of the new no-name brands.

That should allow them to get some reasonable funds and pick up some half decent players for next season.

That's just my 2 cents.

quinn shouldn't have been fired..like hbk2k mentioned a few ppl who should go like belfour, domi, lindros, berg, belak, richardson etc and bring ppl who will be useful to the team and help them make the playoffs. It is sad to see quinn go but he will go to another team maybe 'couver. but which ever team he goes to he will make fergy regret his decision

Well, Berg signed away, so that problem is solved. Sad part is if they had only started playing the kids more about 10 games earlier, they would have made the playoffs. They made a heck of a run 9-1-2 at the end of the season.. they needed the speed. What the leafs need is a goalie.. Nabokov anyone? Maurice as coach, and the young guys.. White, Bell.. etc. Go Leafs Go (But running out of bloomin patience) LMAO
