I'm considering this board and was wondering if other's could post their experiences with it.

... plus we needed something started in this section of the forums. :D

Whats up with your Epox? Just curios, I have to RMA mine. I may possibly have to get a new board and was thinking of doing the same move.

Well I had to RMA my EPOX due to it would not boot up..just died on me..
So I bought the DFI had a few issues with it at first, but they were user errors..lol
Currently at 2665MHz with slight vcore bump and Vdimm at 2.9 no issues so far..
I like the layout of the board, like BTX, mem slots at the top, Cpu in the middle..
I'm sure I could get a bit more out of this board, just been to busy playing BF2..
Mem is running at 1T 2.5-4-4-10 265MHz
1 thing i do miss on the Epox was the debug led, I have my case on my desk, and was able to check cpu temps on the fly while benching, can't do that with the DFI..
I am beginning to like it more and more..
Here's a few pics

why not a Asus A8N-SLI Deluxe?

@ Dan, I have an expensive AGP card that I don't want to replace just yet. Plus AGP cards provide the same performance as a single PCI express.

@ jamie, I was a little concerned about clearance with the Zalman HSF but it looks like it works for you. I may just take the plunge on a DFI board since Epox is dragging it's feet with a new bios to support the X2 processor. The DFI supports the X2 from what I've read. I'll have to visit dfi street to see if there are any other issues.

p.s. I may have a decent cpu/mobo for sale very soon, i.e. 3000+ winchester that'll do 2.5ghz and the epox board. :nny:

Are you kidding? Asus has got to be the #1 motherboard manufacture. Whats better? Abit?? Gigabyte?

BTW, you can check cpu temps on the fly with the epox debug LED?

Never said Asus wasn't good. Asus is #1 if you aren't tweaking or overclocking much.

Abit, Epox, DFI for the tweak-a-holics.

Yup I have an expensive agp card aswell...
SLI is only good if your going with 2 video cards..otherwise agp is equal..

How do you check the temps through the motherbard.
I'm getting dissapointing mem clocks, not sure if its the board though.

how do you check the temperature through the led?

You have to use the new version of USDM for you board..
You do have a 9NDA3+ right?
Then go into th options and you can select the led to display temp..:)

late night last night setting stuff up. I'll do some overclocking over the weekend if I get some time.

The motherboard swap was the easiest I've done... just disconnect and cables, swap boards, reconnect cables and fire 'er up. :D

The board has been no problems so far other than a slight undervolt on the Vcore which I'm sure will be corrected with a bios update.

Ya should see this puppy encode video now. :D
