just curious if anyone has tried out other massive multiplayer online games, other than WoW, CoH, CoV, FF11, EQ, SW:G stuff.
if so, what were your impressions?
I've noticed several new ones just appeared, and more coming up.
I am curious as to how RF Online plays.
I just tried out Auto Assault, and while it is kind of fun, if you like vehicular combat, I just barely got started, so I don't know how long it will last. It took me about 4 hours to pass the first map, before I got to the first major city, to get to level 5, and I felt it was too long. I even encountered some areas that you can get into, but wind up getting stuck, but thankfully they added an ability to get your vehicle summoned to a repair station at any time, so if and when you do get stuck, while it can get you mad and make you lose time, its not permanent.

I played WOW and found it a bit to cartoonist for me.
I played Guildwars, but it was way too boring. Once you get to lvl 20 and do all the quests your done. I got my friend hooked on it and all he does in "farm" yippy.
I played EQ2 since day 1 and really enjoyed it. But in the beginning I found it extremely hard to find ANY info at all about anything. Since I was a newbie.
That was only my 2nd MMORPG in 10 years. I first played "The Realms" back in '95.
But I hope to play Vanguard.
I also want to get a brand new computer system too.

Yea man that game looks sick, when does Vanguard come out, or is it already? And is it free?
Paying for a game is bad enough. Paying 20 bucks a month to play it after you paid to have it is nuts.
Especially when there are games far better than any MMO and are free to play.
MO only.

i played the auto assault beta, and was disgusted...then you look in the forums and people are like, AA IS WAY BETTER THAN WOW...which i dont believe at all.

you cant compare AA to WoW, 2 totally different playstyles.
I am just having a drought with WoW now, so I wanted to try something different. Its like an RPG with Twisted Metal style action, which is why I wanted to try it out, because I liked the twisted metal games.

Guild Wars is a fun game, and as the name implys the fun of the game is in haveing a guild.i thought the game was really goodand am getting the next instalment(factions).if you like PvP then this is the game to get, that's why the level cap is so low.
if you ever get that there's a computer mechanics guild...and me and my friend run a guild(sorry les),Legion of Random Destruction,or LORD.

Well, I kinda have a theme going for my varius characters, all their lastnames are Zona, so if you see a char with that as their last name its mostlikely me. At present i have a ranger/elementalist, war/necro, assassin and ritualist (had to give the 2 new ones a try)

I definitely want to try out an assassin. Man i cant wait to start playing.
I'll probably have to delete two of my characters from GW. I made 4 already for the first game and now i cant play factions because there are no more spots to make another character so that I can play Factions. That kinda blows.
Can you take your character into factions? i dont really want to delete any characters.

i played swg since launch and left about 5 months ago ...after the nge release (new game enhancements). It ruined the game for me and hundreds of thousands of others.....I think that swg is heading for the shelf...a shame that a great game like that was ruined by some admins who didn't listen to customer response. I know play wow and am having a blast....I am ultimalty waiting for star trek online to come out.

I've played quite a few.
WoW - Too cartoony for me to really get in to. If it was more realistic I would have enjoyed it more.
The Matrix Online - Fun game for the first month tops of playing it. Everything looks the same in almost every building.. all the missions are the same as the one before that you select. You select an assassinate mission, and it's boring because every time it's almost the same mission, and all the buildings look the same inside.
City of Heros - Fun game, awsome concept, the city is HUGE.. Customization of characters is impressive, and starting your own hero team is cool. The only real set back is that the game is very very slow.. I played for about 2 months, only got to lvl 16.
City of Villains - pretty much the same as City of Heros.. except add the villain bases you can build for your team.. also, if you have heros and villains you can pvp against heros
Guild Wars - I found this game boring. The level cap was wayyy to low.. even if it is a PVP game, still, lvl 20 cap, please. It was a big deal for the first little bit, but I've found it to be very in-active lately. The style of the game, the animations, just wasn't for me. Not paying to play online however is a bit of a plus.
Everquest 2 - I love this game. I've been playing it since it was released and I really enjoy it. It's not cartoony, the world is huge, the character customization is pretty indepth: changing eyebrow size and height, curve, tattoos depending on race. 20 races to choose from. Tons and tons of quests to do, never runs out, Why do you think people who are lvl 70 still play? The ability to become a crafter, and make certain things depending on your crafting class is cool too. weaponsmith, armorsmith, tailor, etc.
if your not in a guild then you can post your user and i can send you an invite to our guild.
Send to "Guardian of Olympus"
Was thinking of playing City of heroes again but not sure if i have time to put into it. I liked that game.
