We rid ourselves of Bell, and switched to Sprint, many months back. On one of our lines, Bell is showing a balance of .26 and they keep invoicing me every month for that amount. I called them and said "Can't you just cancel the 26 cents?" - nope they can't .... so I get a statement every month for 26 cents.

We had a credit on the other line and received a cheque from Bell for about $14. Both lines were switched at the same time, but they couldn't take the 26 cents off the $14.

Think of the cost of issuing a statement every month for 26 cents LOL.

Wonder if they will ever threaten collection? Maybe I could strike a deal with them ... for, let's see .... 15 cents!

OMG!!

It's costing them more than the 26 cents to send you a bill every month... :eri:

You would think that anything under the price of paper and a stamp would be sent to the dead-beat bucket.

You would think that anything under the price of paper and a stamp would be sent to the dead-beat bucket. It most likely will be, eventually, when someone who counts beans sees what's going on. Or when it reaches "collection" stage and the collection agency sees the amount. Not even worth it if they collect the whole amount as commission ... LOL

Now, if they were like the 407ETR they might charge you for invoicing, and the amount would skyrocket. :)

Now, if they were like the 407ETR they might charge you for invoicing, and the amount would skyrocket. :) Been down that route (excuse the expression) with the 407ETR. Eventually struck a deal with them for the proper amount less the interest and charges. Was an old employer/employee problem where my employer was supposed to pay it and he refused after letting me go.

Similar situation here. I cancelled by Bell line, and I'm still getting invoiced... for $0.00 every month.

for .26 every month? geeze you would think they would give you a credit or something or deduct it from a bill but it must be costing them more then that just to send it out :tch:

I had 3 credit cheques because they billed the wrong account .. they received the money (direct payment (never again) ) and I transfered the funds online to the right account yet the account had gone to the Big Bad Bill Collector.
nightmare comes close to describing the mess after.
EDIT: I said enough is enough and cancel all accounts they owe me the Deposit of $500 yet they say I owe them those 3 cheques .. when it went to pay the other account .. simple to me .. I'd pay Billions in tax money to have them Audited.
And they have the clout to damage your Credit rating without even thinking.

even if they took what they say I owe them ... get this it's less than the $500 they owe me .. lol
I wrote Bell off A long time ago .. yet I'm using Sympatico .. with no problems.
Vonage is next that and my Telus Mobile .. I'm all set.

Even Revenue Canada can handle situations like this. That's really sad.
