Agreed. I lived for the Leafs, but even now.. can't seem to care. Too busy watching the Jays. One thing I heard tonight, is that the Flyers signed Jeff Carter and Michael Richards for the 'minimum' $945k or something, didn't offer them any of the bonuses.. besides the league system. Question, I thought Rookie salaries were locked at $450k this year thanks to the cba. Apparently, rookies can still earn up to 3mill with all the add-ons. What's up with that? Seems somethings never change. NHL be damned.
P.S. Someone let me know when the Leafs decides to lower ticket prices so I MIGHT be able to afford to go, and maybe I will give a rats you know what. They still don't seem to care.. other teams are slashing prices, and the Leafs are sitting on the arses, laughing. Forget it.
Go Leafs Go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!

The schedule reminds me of an NFL schedule .. this division plays X division at home and XX division on the road and it rotates over a 2 or 3 year period
The Leafs will NOT play this year: Chicago, Detroit, Columbus, Nashville or St Louis

Is that right Lee Anne? No Detroit or Chicago? I haven't looked at the schedule yet. That can't be! 2 of the original 6, the Leafs don't face?

Yes it's correct, was in the Leafs press release:
Saturday night games once again dominate the Maple Leafs schedule with Toronto playing 25 times on Saturday (16 at home and nine on the road). The team will also play 16 games on Tuesday (11 at home and five on the road). The Maple Leafs do not have home games scheduled for Sunday.
For the first time since the 1965-66 season, the Maple Leafs will play consecutive games against the same team in the same venue. The Maple Leafs will travel to Ottawa to face the Senators in back to back games on January 21 and 23 and to Montreal to face the Canadiens on March 23 and 25. Toronto will host the Buffalo Sabres in consecutive home games on April 1 and 3.
The busiest months for the club are in November and March as the team plays 14 games in each month. The busiest home months for Toronto come in October and December (eight games), while the busiest road months will be in January and March (nine games). The Maple Leafs will close out the regular season schedule with a home game against the Pittsburgh Penguins on April 18.
With the NHL's new regular season schedule format, the Maple Leafs will now play Northeast Division rivals eight times, while continuing to face off four times against the remaining teams in the Eastern Conference. The new format also means that the Maple Leafs will not see action against Chicago, Columbus, Detroit, Nashville or St. Louis during the 2005-06 regular season campaign. The club will host all five teams from the Pacific Division (Anaheim, Dallas, Los Angeles, Phoenix and San Jose) once and will visit each team in the Northwest Division (Calgary, Colorado, Edmonton, Minnesota and Vancouver) on one occasion. For the first time since the 1997-98 season, the Maple Leafs will travel to Colorado to face the Avalanche on January 17.
The league will shut down from February 13 to 27 so that NHL players can participate in the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin, Italy.
Leafs TV will have exclusive live coverage of 12 regular season games to be announced at a later date
