View Full Version : Sony PS3 20GB NOT to have HDMI

Considering that Sony is pushing Blue-Ray as a main selling feature, I found it interesting to find that the 20GB version will NOT have HDMI. From what I read, Sony was also making it sound like the 20GB and 60GB were the same thing, but the data shows differently. It also lacks the wireless 802.11 capabilities and memory card features.

That will make it a bit tricky to play movies I would imagine

You might want to start saving your pennies.

At the current exchange rate, the document has the PS3 priced at about $600 Canadian for the 20G model.

From what I gathered so far, the HDMI output will be available from an optional component.

What a load of crap... PS3 was supposed to support BluRay right out of the box. Now, it technically does, but you'll only get 480p without the HMDI connector.

The higher-end model will be the BluRay player, but without the dual-HDMI output as originally promised.
