With the board going down , seems a post got corrupted .. so going to our back ups means a lot of threads and hacks that inter link won't go back up.
So we get a board back up with un repairable problems or we save the users files and start from scratch. The threads from previous will be put in to a archive this week and go from there.

Sounds good. There is lots of valuable info in there.

Each and every TCM member appreciates what you and Deb have gone thru this weekend. Now that things are back, go get some sleep and worry about the small stuff later. Thats an order!!!! :D

Thanks for the update Les.
A big thank-you goes out to you and Deb for restoring the board and a special little something to Deb for her board at Lamplite.
Once the archive is done, hopefully the FAQ's can be copied over.

Deb can get to these things whenever she's ready to... but unless we let her know what issues are there, they can be overlooked...
And that last issue seems to be fixed now too... you're just too efficiant Deb

Computer problems???
I can understand... I screwed up my wireless internet connection this afternoon while trying to add a new eMac to the router.
I am just happy that Deb and Les (and others not mentioned) got the main TCM board back up and running.
Thank you! :D
Number one effort for a volunteer job. :)

thanks for getting things back up and going.
with that said I guess you still haven't found a way to backup your system
that works......
too bad really the information lost each time this happens is lost to
all it may help.
I know how frustrating it is to lose the hard work that gos in to making
a system work. I have lost big time and spent hours rebuilding.
one thing I do understand and have proven many many times the only
good backup is one that I can restore from. if I can't its time to move on.
its really too bad.......

Well last night the board dropped again with a new load, seems to be a mysql error ..
Now that we have some support and the holiday is over .. we can get to the root of the problem.
Please post away , we will keep checking and get this resolved...
We back up on a weekly base but with VB the threads and posts and other files all tie in to each other ... because the back up of the board is well over 700 megs it is painful on our bandwidth .. If we could afford a better and newer server we would .. but we can't so we won't ..
We practice back up but even getting a board back with so many hacks hard to get back to where we were...
For a free service and Family (as most of you are considered friends others freaks .. that is what family is )
Thanks for sticking with us , because with out you .. We'd have a lot more free time lol

Was wondering why I didn't have any posts. Not that I had that many anyways, but have always gotten terrific help @ TCM, and am very happy that you guys are still here:)
As an aside I save posts/threads I find important in 'my docs' so I can refer back to them later.

Good suggestion Andromeda, we can all do a backup in that way. To top it off the pertinent things remain with in easy access and if someone needs help a simple cut and paste is all that is required.
Nice to be back in the community at any rate, Thanks Les and Deb!

Yeah, it makes things easier when looking for stuff, and 'my docs' also get burned regular.....like you can't cover all bases, but you can try....
I second that and add my thanks to Les and Deb!! :) :llo:
