Video capture/transfer question

Probably a dumb question, but i just gotta ask.

I have a Panasonic DV camcorder and of course have to capture video in real time (slow). With the newer video cameras that have a hard drive I assume it's just a drag & drop type transfer. But with the video cameras that have a dvd recorder/drive built-in, is a drag & drop transfer to a PC?

it will take time to transfer and depending on the model and programing
used. It should be faster then real time which is what you are doing
now. Before you purchase any new product it is aways best to do
you home work and lean how it works first.
