Hey, I'm going camping this weekend and I was just wondering if any of you know how tight they are on extra people on a site. We have 7 people on a 6 person site, so it would be stupid to split up and go on 2 sites because we couldnt get 2 cloase to each other. Do they count the people as they come on the site or do they jsut assume only 6 show up and if they find 7 you get fined??

Diffrent sites have diffrent rules. But, being it's a long weekend I would think they're going to be watching everyone that comes in and making sure you have the number of people to the size of the site. :)

PS, Good Luck :D

Best to call the campground and ask them that. I do know you are only supposed to have one tent per site. Some places wont allow more than 2 per site. Extra cars cost more and may be asked to park in a visitor parking area and not on site. Only people who can answer this for sure is the campground you are going to. I dont see you being fined if you have one extra person there. It would be a good thing to let them know in advance though. As long as you are well behaved, they are usually pretty good about such things. If you are going to one of the Grand River Conservations area campsites, more info can be found here. http://www.grandriver.ca/index/document.cfm?Sec=27&Sub1=137&sub2=0
