Off hand it wasn't the mess people thought it would be when singer left.
They took some real chances and tossed in a twist or two.
Not the best and hardly the worst and its a safe bet that theres going to be another if we want it.

The movie sucked, bad. The characters they killed off were major characters and their deaths did not do them justice. Then they introduce major characters like Cain Marko (juggernaut) and his fate is unkown. Colossus does not have a Russian accent (ok maybe its a minor peeve, but I used to collect these comics) and the ending was just pathetic. In my opinion its the sigle worst Xmen movie yet.

Not sure what Law was referring to either cuz you didn't give away anything (well nothing of importance anyways).
I thought the movie sucked too. No real character development for the new guys that were introduced. Juggernaut's helment looked like a$$

Well maybe its not hard for you, but maybe it is for other people. I didn't mention who or how many, I don't think I could be more vague then that. If I've ruined it for you, then I'm sorry,that was not my intention, but I don't think I gave anything away with my comment.

Well you did. The first post in this thread was perfect. It showed why he liked the movie and did not give away the fact that one or more major characters die in the film.
You also mention that juggernaught ends up with an unknown fate.
Now instead of being suprised when a major cahracter dies, i wont be. Thanks NG.

I loved the movie , actually enjoyed that action and Kelsey Gramar was a great Beast.

....I'm a huge X-men fan but this movie really has nothing to do with X-men so you're not missing much if someone spoiled this movie for you....there's nothing to it. It's just a simple stand-alone made for TV movie plot and I can understand those who don't know X-men that well or have followed the comics why they'd like the movie. But for those who know x-men from the comics will know what I am talking about.
plot and story is completely ...."bleh" and characterization is nil. Who makes these movies ???? man they just killed the x-men franchise..... better start all over again like "x-men begins" in another 3-4 years later.

I can say that I liked it, because I did enjoy it, but it wasn't as good as the other 2.. I'm not sure if they changed writters, but if they did, you can tell.. some of the acting seemed a little meh in some parts. Overall, I'd give the movie a 7 out of 10 maybe an 8.. theother xmen movies I'd give em both 9 or 9.5

Interesting. The director cahnged, it used to be brian singer now its a new guys. some say its better than the other two some say its not. I cant wait to see it.

keep in mind, the new director made this movie with the knowledge that there will never be another xmen movie.
I'd give you some links that actually states that this is supposed to be the last xmen movie ever, but the website I usually go to is down, so I will search for them later. They even stated there would be tragedy with some of the major characters.
and the reason brian singer didnt do the 3rd xmen movie, was because he was busy with the new superman movie coming out soon.

Just saw it and loved it.. and if you watch through the end credits, you get the feeling there WILL be another flick.. 9/10 from me.

bah, im gonna forget about posting the link i stated earlier, all because the same website had another newsbit, after the movie was released and made all that money, that it was not the last xmen movie. yet earlier they were all saying, before the release, how it would be the last movie, and even gave some quotes from Halle.
Well, Halle did say she wouldnt do a third Xmen.

I definately thought this was the worst of the Xmen series. Does not do the comics justice. I can't believe who they killed off in these movies either....what a shame I wouldnt have minded them doing 3 more but after seeing this I hope no spinoffs or any more come out. Then again it's hollywood and they will anyways.

Really? I was so disappointed with the lame ass look they gave phoenix, they did a much better job in the comics which they could have easily pulled off in the movie. In the comics she is reborn with a dual personality, the good phoenix and the dark. I know you don't have much time in a movie and you can't possibly accomplish one tenth of what there is in the comics, but I just felt that the movie did not do justice to the characters as they were in the comics. I mean its like doing a harry potter movie and changing major things about the characters.

What was wrong with how the phoenix looked? i think it was great that you could see her changing colour and she would just look pure evil.
To me these movies are a different world than the comics, i like that they change certain things. Why would you make it just like the comic? that would be boring.
The movies are like a clean slate, you can change certain things because its a new beggining.
I dont see why you dont think the characters are done any justice in the film but meh, having been a big fan of the xmen back in the early nineties and now again in recent years, I think the movies have been the best comic movies out there.

It had to do with something that Prof X said at the beggining of the movie. I dont want to give it away though for those who hadnt seen it.
