Hey ! well im happy the boards are back up cauz i need some help .. hehe

Well actually its about unlocking the 4 xtra pipes and the vertex shader.....ok heres the problem , i know how to do it , ive done it perfectly but the card wont accept the pipes or the xtra shader without causing crazy artifacts ... shouldn't this card be able to take the xtra pipes or vertex shader? i still got the stock cooler tho ... maybe thats the prob ? just looking for some imput from a vanilla evga 6800 ownershttp://images.techimo.com/timo_images/forum/images/smilies/smile.gif thx guys - girls - whoever http://images.techimo.com/timo_images/forum/images/smilies/smile.gif

Well using the newest nvidia drivers , latest rivatuner , and following this guide :http://www.firingsquad.com/hardware...cking/page2.asp (http://www.firingsquad.com/hardware/geforce_6800_unlocking/page2.asp)

gives me severe artifacts when i run css -3dmark - whatever ... even when i only unlock the pipes the card gives me artifacts like there is no tomorrow .. i guess it just cant be changed ???? i didn't think the pipes could cause artifacts .....

ok part of the guide says that unlocking the pipes causes artifacts ... ah well all good , dont think i can get around that :vil: ah well :vxd:

doesnt firingsquad tell you that if you get mad artifacts after unlocking pipes and even when rivatuner says the pipes were unlocked fine that the card just wont take the unlock? ;)

For the cost of the card and tiny increase in performance its not worth it, trust me I tried and fried and card died.
