Is Rogers throttling Kazaa?

The other day my internet connection was acting EXTREMELY slow. I ended up resetting my router and this seems to have fixed it. However, now Kazaa is maxing out it's downloading at 0.12 Kbps so it's taking literally an few hours to get stuff.

Since you seem to download a heck of a lot and you are having bad luck with Rogers, why don't you think about switchting to DSL, I know my provider (IGS) has no caps.

Use torrents, or get limewire.

NGI am too far away from a main line to get the ultra high speed Bell package plus I know too many people that have tons of technical problems with Bell.

My previous issue seems to have been related to my router not to Rogers itself.

Use torrents, or get limewire.I use torrents for my main stuff, I just use Kazaa for singles I want. The odd thing is that it was working up until yesterday morning. When I had my slowdown it slowed down too. Now everything except Kazaa is back to normal.

Yes Rogers is cutting back on things like Kazaa. Thats why people are doing torrents with the encryption.

Hey Apollo, i had the same problem as you. I took my computer to a friends house to see if it was my router and it was. I updated my router and tweaked my settings in bearshare and now all download speeds are extremely high!! Try updating your router or borrowing one from a friend!! My torrents are downloading at an average of 550kb/s...i guess i beat rogers!!!!

Thats Why I said use Limewire. I would Get Limewire Pro if available. I use that for my single files as well.

Although usually I just download a whole album cause it takes the same amount of time :)
