I'm trying to set up a dual boot with Windows and Ubuntu. I have 2 hard drives, the Ubuntu one is the master right now. The problem is that the Windows drive doesnt show up in grub. It finds the drive in BIOS and im booting to the Ubuntu drive. I dont know if this matters, but the end of the IDE cable is plugged into the Ubuntu drive and the one in the middle of the ribbon is in the Windows drive. I've tried to google some things but all I found was setups for a single drive with 2 OS's on them.
Could some one tell me what I'm doing wrong?

Is it Windows XP? I'm not sure if windows will even boot unless it is the master drive (C:)...
I never liked GRUB myself, always prefered lilo. When you set up grub, are you sure you added the windows drive? Edit your GRUB configuration... Or is the windows drive not showing up in the setup/configuation?

I fixed the problem for the most part, I can boot into both windows and ubuntu. But now, the menu to select the OS doesn't appear. It goes to the grub command line and then I have to type "configfile /boot/grub/menu.lst" to load into the menu. It just gets annoying typing that everytime.
Any ideas on how to fix that?

Did you install GRUB to the Master Boot Record (MBR) or somewhere else on the HD? Personally, I would try to reinstall GRUB or go with LILO (LInux LOader). I had problems with GRUB in the past like this as well.
