yeah LimeWire PRO 4.9.0 is ok, but IRC is probably still the best

Any of the Gnutella clients work well (including Shareaza,Gnutella,Limewire,Napshare.....and my fave Brearshare Lite).
Kazaa and the like ...are dead as dodos.
I 've reached some tremendous d/l speeds with Bearshare (as high as 3mb/s !)

yeah but all development work on BearShare has ceased and the BearShare support forums have been closed because of the MGM_Studios,_Inc._v._Grokster,_Ltd. case however LimeWire is still being developed
