On my computer (and also Taz's), the TCM clan theme looks the same as the Legacy theme. Its blue. If I switch themes, then come back to the TCM clan while still logged in, it comes up with the proper green and brownish look. If I then log out, clear all of my cookies, and log back in again, it comes up blue again. Others arent having this issue, only 2 of us that I know of. Could that possibly be because I dont have SP2 installed? Here are the examples to show you.

could be that you are changing the theme from the portal accidently

As it's only happening to 2 of you, it's a cookie issue. Click on the log out link here. Close your browser. Go into your cookies folder and look for the tcm cookie and delete it. Try logging in again and let me know if that fixes it.

Just did that and when I log back in it shows as tcm clan but has the appearance of legacy, until I change to another theme and then back to clan. :vxd:

Thats exactly whats happening to me. All cookies cleared with ccleaner and still shows the same. Let me try it manually this time.

Edit. Cleaned all cookies and temp internet files after logging out and no change.

There still some theme issues.
Checked again to-day,

Cleared all in Firefox ( cookies. cache)
Clicked google link to get to TCM.

Shows up in ambience theme.
And get no threads found, no news etc.

Might be a problem for any new visitors.
Changed theme to legacy, no problems.
But newbies would not know that.

Edit : using W98SE

Yes, I just noticed that too... It seems to default to ambience theme if you're not logged in... and there's alot of blanks on the home page... :hsh:

Ok, here is an odd one. Went to report a bad thread (was in the wrong forum) and it changed to the right colours. Logged out and back in again and it changed to blue again....hmmmm

Yes it appears to be cookies . cache related.
But another possible problem.

Tried with K-meleon, ( cookies, cache still set ) everything ok.

So I disconnected from net.
Cleared all in K-meleon. ( everything cache ,history, google)
Reconnected.
Used google link.

Got ambience theme and this:

There Are No Threads In The Forum
No News Found
There Where No Categorys Found

It appears that default is ambience, And ambience gives you nothing found.
Could be problem for new users.

Edit:
Just noticed your post Dan.
Thanks for confirming that. :)

Oh, and also in TCM Clan, if you have sidebar on you get 2 sidebars.... taking up almost 1/2 the page... :hsh:

See, now we have a couple more that are seeing the same thing....

I'm sure as time goes and more people try it out you'll see that many are having this problem...
Looks like it's not just XP users either... since I know Ken uses 98SE

Ken, is it like that in both IE and FF for you?

No problems here, Mozilla on Xandros. Also only 1 sidebar on TCM clan until I turned it off. :)

This is what it looks like.... to most people anyway ;)

Also note the post times are hidden... until you highlight them. Can the time colour be changed to black or anything else that's visable??

I know. Tan on tan does not work too well. ;)

I mentioned that to Deb at her test site, but the girl is obviously mucho busy.

Her 'job jar' must be overflowing.

It's Hugh Jass cow ... that's what did it! Dang cow plops!

Screen shots in both IE6 and FireFox 1.0.6, in Winows XP Home SP2.

Firefox: Google bar extends across post.
If you close the Google Side Bar then all is fine in FireFox.

IE: Google bar pushes post to right.
Again, close the Google bar and all is fine.

Great Scott, Watson!
It has been staring at us and laughing.
Google is the problem!
Bet it is Dr. Moriarty up to his dirty deeds again.
The game is afoot!

Just tried the cookie-clear suggestion ... now TCM Clan no longer looks like Legacy! Looks like the Google Bar is a challenge in all themes with sidebar showing.

Ahhh, I can hear Deb now, pecking away at the keyboard (maybe pounding) ....careful .... this is a family forum :d
