Every time I boot up the computer I have to remove the mouse and install it before it responds. Does anyone know of a fix so I don't have to do this every time?:ght:

If you are using Win98 you will always get a message saying no mouse is installed with that particular mouse. The mouse will work without uninstalling it however once the OS loads. You can get rid of the message by using the keyboard to select the don't show this message again check box. Use the tab to highlight the box and then hit the space bar to put a check in it. Then tab until you get to the OK or apply button.

In any OS one thing you might want to do is boot up in safe mode and using the keyboard, go to, control panel, system, hardware devices and remove any mouse listed then reboot to see if that helps.

(If you have XP the mouse will work in safe mode, if not then you just have to use tab, the arrow keys and enter to move around the desktop...)
