Ok. I'm Debating. I'm Looking at 18" rims for my car. Currently I have 215-70-15. .. no need for witty coments :tch: lol anywhos. I want 18x7.5. I was wondering if there were such things as normal stock looking rims that you use hubcaps with. Like, I don't care about the look, I just want more stability. With the rims, comes a stiffer lower suspension aswell (1"). I'm also well maybe going to have caugh up some serious cash maybe for some fancy rims if the world don't have normal non fancy 18 inchers. What woulod anyones suggetion be about comparing a 18x7 to a 18x7.5. I konw they have 17" stock things with hub caps. cuz I see them on new cars. Well thanx for reading.

First thing we need to know is what is the car you plan to put these on??
It'll make all the difference ;)

Regular ol' rims are probably just not advertised but I'm sure you can get any size you want, just call up a place and ask.

The tire size is set to fit a minivan. 2000 chevy.

Chevy Astro or Venture??

I'm hoping it's a Safari that you want to do this to...

You can go with 7" or 8" or maybe even wider without problem on them... on a Venture you might have clearance issues above 7"

Going from 15" to 18" rims may make that van ride like a lumber wagon ( if they fit your application as Dan posted )
Consider you still should remain with the present circumferance as the 250/70R 15 presently have, and that means buying a low profile tire to fit that 18" rim, leaving you with very little sidewall to absorb road shocks resulting in a thing that will corner like it was on rails ( with proper suspension ) but rides like it were on steel tires!

lol. It's for a venture. 18x7.5 clear it fine with a 1" lower. 3" lower poses a problem. not only for the wheels, but under carriage. Yes, 18s are a rough ride. 17s are a best for all around use I guess. 18s have that pazass. I dunno. I'll look around. Like I was doing, but can't find normal 18"ers. Thanx for the help.

OK, you want "pazass" yet you wan't plain wheels so it looks stock... That just doesn't make sense..

Usually you want plain to keep it stock looking while improving performance, OR you want pizazz to make it look good... flashy wheels...
No one is going to notice whether you hace 15's 17's or 18's on plain wheels...

So this only confuses me... I don't know what you want... :rrg:

But to answer the question, No, I haven't seen plain 18's that are the right bolt pattern for a Venture.
If you can find 17's, grab them... that's the best you're going to do.
