Change File Associations

Sometimes you find that your file no longer opens with the program that you want. Sometimes just reinstalling the certain program will fix this.. Or you could just change the File Association manually...
Right-click a file with the extension whose association you want to change,... click Open With
In the Open With dialog box click the program which you want the file to open with or use the Browse button to locate the one you want.... Make sure the Always use the selected program to open this kind of file is checked off..

Or
My Computer... Tools... Folder Options... File Types...
Scroll down to the file type you are looking for and select it.. then use the change button..
same thing applies with the browse and checking the box...

For XP if you can not see all of the file type extensions do the following...
My Computer... Tools... Folder Options... View Tab.. Make sure "Hide extensions for known file types" is not checked off.
