Best method for backing up digital photos?

Can anyone tell me what is the best method for backing up digital photos? I am currently using cd's.

CD, DVD, another hard drive... all good places

You can also look into online storage..

You're always best to save them in more than one place; including off-site, incase of fire or other total distruction of your home
