One of pointsettia that I'm growing had a broken branch which I stuck in the ground. Now, it's still alive and this all occured a day ago...it's leaves are still dark green but, somewhat drooped! I want to know if I should leave it alone or chuck the branch?

Unless some sort of rooting powder was used I'd say it don't have much of a chance. But why not keep it watered with good light (not direct sun)
and see that happens in a month.

I'll do that...I didn't bother with rooting compound because I was just thinking of getting it back in ground ASAP so,I'll let you know how it pans out!

I've never tried rooting them before and don't know how easy (or hard) it is for them.
All you can do is try... you have nothing to loose ;)
Also, it shouldn't be too big... no more than about 6" stem... bigger than that and it probably won't take.
Let us know if it makes it or not ;)

Improve your chances by removing the larger leaves at bottom of branch, and placing a plastic bag over branch down to ground.
