What an awesome show Peter put on.
Started the concert with "signed, sealed, delivered I'm yours" and ended with a stirring rendition of "while my guitar gently weeps".
In between he played some of his best hits including:
Baby I love your way,
Do you feel like we do,
Lines on my face,
I'll give you money
and some new stuff from his soon to be released "Fingerprints".

Loverboy were also awesome, (Mike Reno wore his trademark bandana, but not his leather pants), they played all their hits.
Ray Lyell and the Storm and Eddie Money were ok, but I am not a big fan of either of them.

Looking forward to tonights show, this one will be awesome featuring:
Saga
Kim Mitchell
April Wine
Styx

And Saturday
Helix
Vince Neil of Motley Crue
Quiet Riot
Alice Cooper

Wow, sounds like you entered a time warp. I saw Vince solo, he was so drunk, slurring, singing every 3rd word. If you look on the net, or at www.metalsludge.tv , there is a link to recent video of Vince Neil in Florida drunk and falling off the stage

Never been a big fan of Peter Frampton (too syrupy for my tastes), but I'd love to see Saga (original line-up) and Kim Mitchell never disappoints :bsu:

Kim Mitchell played the Chooch in Guelph quite often back in the 70's. Saw many a show (except near the end of the night).

I remember seeing Max Webster for the first time at a high school dance at York Mills Collegiate about 2 years before they released their first album.

At the time, they played about 50% original stuff and 50% covers, mostly Jethro Tull stuff which they did extremely well.

I remember (well, almost) The Band covering for the house band one night at the Blind Pony Lounge of the Town Tavern. I think they came down from the Zanzibar or the Coc-d-Ore (sp) for one set.

Man, am I old.

I saw April Wine at GCVI high school here in Guelph when they released their first album. 1973 I think.

I loved the Chooch. Great live music. The regular band was called Reflections. Also saw Animal Crackers there every so often.

I've seen Styx twice with Gowan on keyboards/vocals and I think he is an amazing addition to the band

Interesting Glen...which member was it?

I was at that Massey Hall concert that spawned their live album.

What are those guys doing now (if you know)?

His name is Roly Greenway. http://www.stormpages.com/crowbar/photos/crowbar-78.html
I think he is in the Micro Brewerying business now.

This is my 3rd time seing Styx. First time was with Dennis DeYoung as lead singer.
Gowan does an awesome job taking over, but, there are still some songs that only Dennis can do. But for the most part, you can't really tell( unless your a big Styx fan) that they ever changed lead singers.

They were a great live band. I really liked the period when they had King Biscuit Boy on harp.
