Need someone to look at my HJT Log Please.

Hi There,
I have run every free spyware,Virus scans that I have plus some. And the
only one that says I'm still infected is Panda.
It started w/AVG saying I had a Trojan Java/Byte Verify.I ran Housecall it fixed
the trojan. Then I ran Panda it came up with Bagle ca. And deleted it.But..
the spyware (myway) it could not fix. I can not get into my email it says its
unable to verify password. So I ran my HJT Log in Safe Mode. Will you take a look to see what we can do to fix my problem. Thanks, Kris0916

Myway is minor spyware.
Same company as funweb products, Smiley central is a big source of this.

Stll crap, though.

First use add/remove to get rid of all the components:

1) Click on Start, Settings, Control Panel

2) Double click on Add/Remove Programs

3) Find "My Web Search" in the list of installed programs and click on Change/Remove to uninstall it. You may also want to uninstall any of the following items associated with FunWebProducts.

* My Web Search (Smiley Central or FWP product as applicable)
* My Way Speedbar (Smiley Central or other FWP as applicable)
* My Way Speedbar (AOL and Yahoo Messengers) (beta users only)
* My Way Speedbar (Outlook, Outlook Express, and IncrediMail)
* Search Assistant - My Way

4) Reboot your Computer


After you've done that, run HJT again.
But run it in normal mode, not safe mode.

Thanks for responding. I deleted the myway in add & remove. But it is still
there but no way to remove it. Only says rarely used. My email is my biggest
problem. This wouldn't have anything to do with that does it? Here's my new

Using add/remove has gotten rid of quite a number of myway entries.

The only one remaining is this one

Put a check mark beside that,
Close your browser and click fix.
Reboot, scan again and post a new hjt log.

Dell rejects spyware charge

Sorry Kris, I can't be of much help there.


I' d suggest starting a new thread in the software forum, titled e-mail problem? or something similar.
There are more people there that might help you with it.

I do notice Incredimail running you might want to mention that, as well which e-mail client( Outlook express, incredimail , etc,) is giving you problems.
and whether it is your POP account or Web mail.

My default is Outlook Express & deleted Incedible Mail last night. Ever since I got that
Bagle CA even tho Panda took care of it I think it had already did its thing with my
email and changed my password. But I'll send a thread to the software area as you
