The time had come when my old car was telling me it wanted to retire.
With my e-test coming up in a few months and and the car needing
far to much work. I decided it was time for another car. After looking and researching. I found a nice car.
---------------------------------------------------------------
On a side note after I got the call the car was ready to pick up
I went down to my car to go and get the new one friend in tow...
I found a paper on my car stating that earlier this person had hit
my car. Sure enough the front signal lite was smashed 7" in to the
bumper. :fmk:

on the way back home the exhaust system fell apart.
You might say the car had its time.
the person who hit it will be paying for the damages
then its off to the wreckers.
----------------------------------------------------------------
The car I bought is a Saturn sl1 1993 its in good shape
safetied and E-tested
had a trusted mechanic check it over. being a used car
there is some miner work that needs doing but all in all
a good deal. I'll keep the price to myself.

here a pic from the ad.

Sounds like your old wheels knew it was being replaced... and it started to just fall apart ;)

Yep, the only option was single cam (SL1) or twin cam (SL2) ... both are 1.9 L

Hope all works out well with your new(old) car Ken. I know the feeling of a vehicle falling apart well.

Well, at least we know it won't rust out from under you. :)
How do you figure that?
Just because it has plastic fenders and door skins doesn't mean the rest of the car (structure) doesn't rust... you just won't see it as much ;)

And I thank all Saturn owners for that consideration.

I hate the unsightly vision of rust.
