First we sent Canadian Citizens to the u.s. to be convicted for something that is perfectly legal here in Canada, the home and country where they resided. Then, Canadian customs can violate mail at their will while crossing the border. I have the sense that Canadian authorities are just bending over to Uncle Sam's desires, letting their self-inflicted paranoia to permeate our own society.

What was that regressive regime that read/reviewed every mail coming in/out of it? Was it the East Germany of the cold war? Was it the ol' red Russia? Is it North Korea?... Well, a yellow tape with the legend of "CANADA BORDER SERVICES AGENCY" placed across the cut that some Canadian official did to access my personal mail, doesn't give me any sense of security, or make feel any different from those unfortunate people that lived under iron fist. Were they looking for a Weapon of Mass Distraction blue-prints? Drugs? Terrorist info? Pamela Anderson pics? All of the above?

Where the heck are today's Pierre Elliott Trudeaus...

NEWS FLASH:
anything crossing the border is subject to inspection by Canada Customs.

Just be glad they do check. Or would you prefer Dubya's justice?

Who did we send back? What was the crime they were accussed of committing? Was there not an extredition hearing where the accussed was represented by council?

Is this illegal? Who approved the legislation? Did we elect the people who approved the legislation?

Canada read and censored the mail of prisoners of war and I don't know if it is still done but the mail of criminals in correctional institutions are subject to reading and censoring so you have to share the shame.

It is hard for us to determine the reason but it might be interesting to read the history file on you computer and to check the ashtray beside your computer.
