For anyone who has a newer FM radio, do the station names display in Canada? I know when I am in the US the rental cars usually have a stereo which displays the name of the station I am listening to. Is this true in Canada for the major stations was well? I understand this is called "RDS".

Yes, they do, IF you have a late-model car.
Otherwise forget it.
But, some stations do not add this info to their signal. Yet.
The GM Radio in my car displays the radio station, as well as the name and artist of the song that is currently playing. It also can scan for traffic repots on all station.
It looks like this

Many radio stations support RDS, but most are very lazy with it and don't really take advantage of it. I guess there's very little motivation to really use it. I guess the competition with satellite radio isn't motivating enough...
