When i dload a dvd form the net and it happens to be a PAL iso file, is there a way to burn it to NTSC without burning to dvd first then putting it back into the HD with Shrink or others then using IFOEDIT to change the pal lines to NTSC..
??

Uhh... I hope im understanding this. But all DVD shrink does is takes the files in video_ts does the changes to it that you selected then makes a new output of them, It doesnt burn the disc (Unless you tell it to). After it makes the output just use that method to change it. Either way you MUST rip the dvd then make changes then reburn it. Theirs absolutly no way to modify a dvd once its been burned (and closed).

you can use a program called iso buster to open a dvd bin or iso to your harddrive with out burning it.

then change the lines and burn the dvd.

this is of course if you never look in the other sections or never get one from family overseas extra.

not to mention pal is better quality .

oddly enough someone else here got one from overseas and wanted to watch it here.

i refer you back to the original post.
as you seem to be making an attempt to make some sort of point.

When i dload a dvd form the net ??

those reasons you stated smirnoff would be other instances, therefore you would be correct.

however my lesson again deals with the quote I have happily copy and pasted.

*sigh* how can you possibly miss the point of my original comment.

stop all this god damn copyright infringement and buy the movie.

this will in turn solve your NTSC/PAL dilemma, for one.

the point wasn't missed.

you on the other hand missed the point.

there are more then a few ways to end up legaly with a pal movie and its a lot easier then you think.

just because someone has a pal movie doesn't mean its illegal, heck you can download jap anime for free and its in pal.
or home movies made in pal simply because the person lives in england and thats the standard.

jumping to the conculsion that someone is breaking the law becuase he needs to convert a pal movie is like me saying someone is a crook just because there a certain colour.

don't go pointing fingers at people without proof.

he first made a assumption that the law was being broken.

then he made a judgement based on his guess.

since there's a equal number of legal reasons for wanting to convert a dvd he did nothing more then make himself look stupid.

something we all do from time to time.

best to let this die now.
