Will This RAM stick Work In My Puter ?

I ordered by mail a PC2100 stick.
They have sent me a PC2700 stick.
My Mobo claims to support up to 266mhz.
Will this simply not work or
will it work but under perform?

It shouldn't be a problem. Good RAM can usually accept a "throttle back" quite handily.
