Hi,
I'm thinking about getting a NOKIA 6126.
Anyone here have any thoughts on this cell phone?

Thanks

I've been waiting for months for this phone -- it'll replace my 7 yo Nokia 5190! Rumours state that Cingular cancelled its offering of the phone due to unspecified "hardware issues", and that Fido will be releasing it soon.

The 6126 is the North American version of the 6131 -- apparently, there are only minor differences between the two (e.g., the 6126 doesn't have FM radio or IrDa). However, they both feature a big, brilliant display, which is probably the reason for its lacklustre battery ratings.

Some users of the 6131 (which has been out for about four months) have experienced paint peeling off and the display screen getting easily stained and scratched. Some worry that these issues will also plague the 6126, while others believe it'll be as popular as the Moto Razr.

Not a bad phone. Check out the reviews on www.phonescoop.com

Also you can always buy the phone if you like it, just get it unlocked and slip in your sim.
