A couple years ago I purchased and used McAfee VirusScan but switched to Norton when it expired. The only problem is that a screen will come up telling me that my VirusScan has expired and I need to renew it. It used to come up once a day but now it's coming up every two minutes (I've timed it) and is a real pain. I've tried uninstalling the program and deleting any referance to it in the registry files but I can't stop this annoying screen from coming up. Can anyone provide some relief for me. Thanks.

Don't take this the wrong way, but are you sure it says McAfee or is it possibly saying Norton ?

AV Uninstaller 1.0
This utility automatically uninstall Dr Solomon AntiVirus Toolkit, McAfee VirusScan, Norton AntiVirus F-Prot Pro and F-Secure AV Products without the user having to know which one they have installed.

I was running McAfee and now am running Norton Antivirus with McAfee Firewall as a seperate program. Since I don't want to get rid of Norton I can't do a universal uninstall. I have uninstalled the McAfee VirusScan and any referance to it in the registry and still I have this problem and McAfee charges an arm and a leg to talk to them on the phone.
