nero cd/dvd speed tests

been ages since i used this thing and now i find the disc quality tab is greyed out.

am i missing something here?

I don't believe I have ever used it what version do you have.
do you have an empty disk in when you try to select that option.
if it worked before and is not now maybe you'll need to reinstall.
oh and have you updated nero recently? that too can cause problems.
