Well after performing the rear sway bar upgrade on my own Honda Accord my wife decided to let me do it on her CSX.

I ordered all the parts necessary to install the Civic SI rear sway bar on the CSX. $100 in total. It took around 1/2hr to install with basic hand tools too.

Below is a picture of the stock CSX and Civic SI parts...

Pretty sturdy mod.

Keep it up and she might be able to keep up to my '91 Accord.

It's nice that there are lots of interchangeable parts between Acura and Honda... Makes moddin' easier...

What does replacing the stock sway bar do to the ride/feel of the car.

The swaybar will help with the handling of the car. I plan on strut tower braces for my car first and then possibly sway bars as well and that will really sharpen up the handling of the car. It is amazing what simple modifications will change a car for a better.

Mine rides like a brick already.

Hard to say if it's better OEM at the time, or just wear-and-tear. ;)

Probably the first one. :d

The ride on Accords is definitely on the "firm" side as opposed to "plush". I like to feel the road so I prefer the former.

Think back a few years , well ok more than just a few when Acura was a Honda model not a "separate" manufacturer. The 1st one was just a glorified Prelude.

@ Taz, I'd love to get an RL from my local Honda dealer at Honda prices. :)

Ride is exactly the same. What the bar does is make the car corner flatter which also reduces understear (tendency to push through a corner). Some might use this mod to drive faster in corners but to me it's all about getting rid of the "leaning over" feeling.

True, the newer models are taller.

I'm sitting on the road as it is. Old farts have to fall into my car.

And one of them is now me.

The 91 Accord was a good car. My mom had a 1990 one (her first car). It served her well and it had no rust. She traded it in at 150,000KM in 1999. While doing some Carfax reports I ran her VIN and it's still on the road somewhere and it's odometer is reading close to 270,000KM.

nice mod

did one on my buddies EL a year ago. Went with a GSR sway...

IMO sways are the best upgrade. strut tower bars dont do that much
